Repair and refresh rather than full re-tiles: pull the cracked tile and match it, cut out the failing grout and run it again, cut out the caulk that was applied over old caulk and do it properly. The repair note on hard water and fixtures explains why glass and grout stop responding to cleaning.
Single cracked or hollow tiles replaced
Floor and shower regrouting
Grout color sealing on stained but sound grout
Caulk lines at tubs, counters and thresholds
Shower floor and threshold repairs
Loose backsplash tiles re-set
Transition strips and edge trim
Saltillo and paver cleaning and resealing
How pricing works
Priced per repair
regrouts quoted by the shower or the room, not by the hour
If there are spare tiles in the garage from the original build, dig them out before the quote. It changes the job from matching to replacing.
Full bathroom re-tiles, shower pan replacement and waterproofing behind the tile go to a licensed tile contractor. Those fail expensively when done halfway.
Insider tip
Ask for the “while you’re here” rate. Adding a second small job to a visit is almost always cheaper than booking a separate call for it.
How it works
1
Send the list
Fill the form with what needs doing and a photo or two. Bundle everything; it is priced as one visit.
2
Get a flat quote
A written price for the whole list comes back before anything is booked. Timing gets worked out from there.
3
Walk it, then close it out
Work is walked through with you before it is called done. Payment and any coverage follow the quote you already agreed to.
Tile & grout questions
Can you match my tile if I have no spares?
Sometimes. Builder-grade tile from 1990s and 2000s Phoenix subdivisions is often still findable. If it is not, a tile gets pulled from a closet floor or under an appliance and moved to the visible spot, which is invisible in practice.
Should I regrout or color seal?
If the grout is sound but stained, color sealing is far cheaper and lasts years. If it is cracking, crumbling or missing, it needs to come out. You will be told which one you have.
Why does the caulk in my shower keep failing?
Almost always because it was run over old caulk or into a wet joint. It gets cut out completely, dried, then run in one continuous pass with a mildew-resistant silicone.
My tile sounds hollow. Is that a problem?
It means the tile lost its bond to the slab. One or two hollow tiles get pulled and re-set. A whole hollow floor is a bigger conversation and goes to a tile contractor.
